The IT Service Desk Technician role is responsible for providing IT support and administration of all back-office systems, including bespoke Insurance and Referencing administration systems, and desktop environments for Barbon Insurance Group and technical support to external customers, primarily letting agents and landlords.
The role will be an active member of a busy IT Service Desk, providing first and second line support and assisting with the closure of all service requests, problems and incidents that relate to the IT systems and infrastructure. The role requires a confident and enthusiastic individual who can work well with others and on their own initiative.
In addition, the role will also be expected to take an active part in the ongoing roll out of Service Desk projects assisting the Service Desk Manager and Infrastructure team as required.
The IT Service Desk operates between the hours of 8:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday with Saturday cover from 09:00 to 14:00 on a rotational basis (overtime paid). The successful applicant will be expected to work on a shift rota basis to ensure consistent cover between these core times.
